Year-End Category Trends of 2022
We bid farewell to 2022 with a look at the category trends on the straight and gay theaters. Taboo and Anal still reign supreme in the straight and gay categories, respectively. The biggest upward trend on the straight side was Hidden Camera, while Blue Collar came out on top of the gay theater.
STRAIGHT
In Straight theaters Lesbian, Threeway, Transsexual, and MILF lose a little ground. POV gains momentum while Big Tits makes a big leap into the top 10 after dropping out in 2021.
Hidden Camera moved up +40 points on the straight theater. Other upward trends included Voyeur (+31) and Softcore (+26 points). Downward trends included Spanish Speaking (-32 points), Adult Humor and Party Girls (each -23), and Feet (-22 points).
GAY
In Gay theaters Twink and Daddy swap places while Safe Sex loses some steam. Taboo makes a big jump and Uncut swells six places to peek its head into the top 10 for the first time since 2013!
In other notable moves on the gay charts, the top upward trend was Blue Collar (+15 points) followed by Prison Sex (+14) and Brazilian (+11). Some downward trends included Gloryholes (-12), Cowboy (-11), and Dildo (-9 points).
