Year-End Category Trends of 2002
Anal dominates both charts again this year, and it’s joined by Teen on the straight side and Safe Sex on the gay side.
AEBN’s high-volume sales put us in a unique position to collect and report data on trends in adult entertainment. Here are the year-end statistics for 2002 in our Straight and Gay Theaters.
STRAIGHT
Anal, Teen, and Cumshot were the top three Straight categories of the year. The top upward trends of 2002 were Vampire (+36 points), Tit Punishment (+34), and Schoolgirls (+33). Downward trends included Celebrities (-14 points), BDSM (-12), and Wet/Messy (-9).
GAY
The year’s top three Gay categories were Anal, Safe Sex, and Amateur. Classic gained +13 points over the year, Body Builders climbed +11 points, and Skinhead moved up +10 points. Cream Pies moved down -12 points, followed by Punishment (-10) and Hidden Camera (-9).
